Calculation in Batches does not work! :-(

Very nicely done. Complete and easy to use.

This app might be worth 99 cents, but definitely not $5! Wait until they update the app to allow more other ingredients beside oils and fats. User defined ingredients are not even supported.

I love this App! It offers great options. I would like to suggest one thing. If the total weight is over one pound I would really like the total to be in pounds and ounces not just ounces. My scale works that way and I have to move from your app to a calculator to do the math. Thanks from making such a great app.

Terrible app, waste of money. Hardly any information, no cant convert ounces to grams etc.

Better to use another calculator. Only comes with oz no grams. Dont bother. Its not a good app at all

Ignore the other reviews that say you cant convert to grams -- yes, you can, its in the settings. This is a fantastic app. I no longer have to futz around with complicated spreadsheets to keep track of my recipes. It easily changes the size of an recipe, so I can switch molds without having to worry about the calculations. The notes section is a perfect place to keep track of additional ingredients, fragrances, colorants, etc. The only thing Id like to add is a copy option, to create a new recipe based on old recipe. I have a base recipe that I use for everything and its a pain to have to retype it every time. But thats a tiny complaint for a fantastic app.

Do not buy this app! It crashes ALL the time, is annoying to use, and has less features than similar free apps. You can change from grams to ounces, but for some reason you have to go to the system preferences to do it when you should be able to do this directly within the app.

Great! I paid $2.99 for 3 recipes, but I dont know how much they yield and I cant change that yield to reflect my mold! I can input my new recipes (my own or those gathered from: the net/books) but I cant change the yield and it provides no additional info! Is my first recipe a cleansing one? Will it be too soft? Ill never figure that out using this Calc! Very disappointing!

I think this would be a good app if it didnt continually crash on my ipad.

This app is virtually useless and is a waste of money. Full of glitches and lacking basic functionality. Stay clear of this one.

I only spent 15 minutes with it. It crashed 3 times (iPad mini). No instructions. There is no way to set your form of lye: this choice is made when you choose between solid bar and liquid recipes, solids have NaOH and liquids have KOH, which suggests no calculations available for solid soap with KOH or liquid soap with NaOH. I use lye water leached from ashes, no conversion here. It will let you change the type and quantity of fat only. Glaring centre screen buttons to take you to someones blog and a store (?), cant move them out of view, no reason given to have them there. A batch started today (March 12, 2014 gets automatically dated August 24, 2012 on the batch record, with no way to enter a correct date. The batch record starts with a big empty box that says "no photo", next to the big wrong date, but there is no way to enter a photo (not that I need one). So I hesitate to trust calculations it produces, wont get any for bars with KOH anyway.

I bought for the purpose of tracking my soap batch recipes with pictures. This app is very glitchy. Dates don’t record correctly. Pictures won’t stay loaded to the recipe properly. I expected better quality from Brambleberry. Waste of money!

Disappointed to discover the app did not have grams

Just a lye calculator and nothing more. Waste of money. I wish I could get a refund

So far Im ok with the app. However, the photo and notes feature do not work. The lye calculator is working. Please fix this

I love Brambleberry almost as much as I love my iPhone and I couldnt be more excited about this app... but it isnt ready for launch yet. No regrets, I know Brambleberry will get it right and the updates will come - but for tonight, lots of crashing, (update) FOUND the notecard function, no back function, cant add EO amounts or customize date... needs work. Thanks for building the app. Ill change my rating as the updates roll out.

I am so excited that this app has been created. Brambel Berry, You Rock! I can see you updating this in the future with saponification ranges to accompany the lye calculator. I would also love to see soap characteristics offered for the soap recipes so that one can guage whether the soap will be highly moisturizing, effective at cleansing, hard or soft, have foamy or creamy lather, etc.

Very useful. Ive added quite a few of my own recipes to test the lye calculation...all were calculated accurately. App needs a little tweaking. A few added features like a place to keep notes and ability to edit the water amount would be nice. It crashed a couple times also. It is an awesome app. Would recommend to anyone who would like the convience of picking up your phone and calculating a recipe.

I was very excited when I heard about this app. . The day it came out, I immediately purchased and downloaded it. It is great for entering recipes that I already have. I think there is a lot more functionality that could be available. One is the ability to work in percentages. I make many of my recipes this way, then resize the amount of oils to fit my needs. Soap qualities would also be a nice feature. I really think this app has some great potential and hope to see that in future updates. Thank you Brambleberry!
